How to use LightWare Studio:
- Click to download the latest version of LightWare Studio that is compatible with your operating system and follow the easy prompts to complete installation. You can also upgrade your current installation by running the updated installer.
- Once the software is installed, connect the microLiDAR® sensor to your computer by using the appropriate cable or adapter.
- Next, open the LightWare Studio software. Here you will be presented with a home screen that shows the devices connected to your computer.
*Note for MacOS users: When opening LightWare Studio for the first time, a dialog box may appear stating LightWare Studio is from an unidentified developer. Follow the help page instructions on the dialog to allow LightWare Studio to run.
How to upgrade your microLiDAR® sensor firmware:
We recommend that your microLiDAR® sensor runs the latest firmware version. To update the firmware on your microLiDAR® sensor follow these steps:
- Open LightWare Studio and click on the Upgrade tool on the left side panel.
- Here you will be presented with the firmware status of your microLiDAR® sensor.
- If an update is available you can update the firmware on your device by clicking the install button. Alternatively, you can also rollback the firmware version on your microLiDAR® sensor if need be.
